В 2002-м году Bad Company, которые готовятся вскоре отметить 30-летие (на тот момент) своего подвижничества на ниве рок-н-ролла, проехали с гастрольным туром по США и Великобритании. К этому времени из оригинального состава, сформированного еще в 1973 году и принесшего группе известность, остались только вокалист Paul Rodgers и барабанщик Simon Kirke. Для участия в туре музыканты пригласили гитариста Dave "Bucket" Colwell и басиста Jaz Lochrie. Альбом "Merchants Of Cool" с подзаголовком "Bad Company In Concert" - отчет об удачно проведенном туре, а подходя к проблеме шире - о ненапрасно прожитой в рок-н-ролле жизни. На DVD "In Concert - Merchants Of Cool" представлены два выступления группы в Paramount Theatre, Denver и Grove Of Anaheim, Anaheim, довольно грамотно скомпанованные в одно большое представление.
